Understanding Student Compliance Colors & Status Icons
Welcome to our guide on student compliance colors and status icons! These visual indicators are designed to help administrators quickly identify eligibility issues and reduce risks associated with student participation. By understanding what these colors and icons mean, you can ensure that students are compliant and ready to participate in their activities.
What the Colors Mean
The colors displayed in the student rows reflect their overall compliance based on the selected mode:
Green – All required items are complete and up to date.
Yellow – One or more items are expiring soon.
Red – One or more required items are missing or expired.
Status Icons Explained
Compliance is determined by a combination of icons, which include:
Form Completion – Indicates the status of parent and student signatures
Payment Status – Shows fee requirements (unpaid, partial, paid)
Physical Expiration – Validity of athletic physicals
Countdowns – Academic or administrative deadlines
Concussion Baseline – Medical tracking (available in Medical Mode only)
Custom Clearances – Additional eligibility rules
Remember, icons and compliance are always evaluated within the selected mode.
Example
To illustrate how this works, consider the following scenario:
A student may be green in Academic Mode (all forms complete).
However, the same student may be red in Athletic Mode (due to an expired physical).
This flexibility allows schools to manage eligibility accurately based on context.
Enrollment Status Indicators
Students with an enrollment status other than Active will display a colored triangle on their row. Simply hover over the triangle to view more details about their status.
Why This Matters
Having clear visibility into compliance is crucial for several reasons:
It reduces liability for the school.
It prevents ineligible participation.
It helps staff take action quickly and confidently.
