With Gatekeeper, you can ensure data accuracy while maintaining full control over what gets pushed to your SIS.

Gatekeeper offers a variety of features to streamline your data management process:

• Compares FinalForms data to your SIS

• Highlights changes made by parents or staff

• Converts data to match SIS formatting rules

• Pushes verified updates to your SIS in real time

It's important to note that Gatekeeper does not automatically sync data without your review, ensuring that you have the final say on what gets updated.

To maximize efficiency, we recommend assigning Gatekeeper responsibilities based on specific roles within your school:

• Registrars: Handle new enrollments and unconnected students

• Administrative Assistants: Manage ongoing updates and students who are desynced

Each student in Gatekeeper will display one of the following status icons:

• Unconnected (Black): New enrollment; not yet in SIS

• Desynced (Yellow): Updates have occurred since the last sync

• Synced (Green): Data matches SIS

You can easily filter students by their Gatekeeper status to streamline your workflow.

Here's a quick guide on how to use Gatekeeper effectively:

1. Go to Manage > Students.

2. Locate a student with an Unconnected or Desynced icon.

3. Click the Gatekeeper icon.

4. Review highlighted fields carefully.

5. Submit to sync verified data to your SIS.

Before you start using Gatekeeper, keep these important notes in mind:

• Always review highlighted fields before syncing.

• Student IDs must match between systems.

• Some data is formatted automatically to meet SIS requirements.
