What Do I Need to Know About Student Forms?

Edited

Welcome to our guide on student formsets! In this article, we will explore how FinalForms replaces traditional paper forms with a streamlined digital process. By understanding the student formset, you can ensure that all required forms are completed and compliant before the start of the school year or athletic participation.

What Is a Student Formset?

A student formset is a collection of forms assigned to a student based on their specific situation. It serves several important purposes:

  • Shares required information with families

  • Collects critical student data

  • Tracks compliance digitally

Viewing Student Forms

To view a student's forms, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to Manage > Students.

  2. Click View Forms on the student's row.

  3. Click any form in the formset to review its details.

This view shows exactly what the parent sees, making it easy to ensure everything is in order.

Form Color Key

Understanding the color coding of forms is essential for tracking compliance:

  • Red – Incomplete; parent signature required

  • Yellow – Complete; student signature required

  • Green – Complete and signed

A student is considered compliant when both the required Parent and Student icons are green.

Why Do Students Have Different Formsets?

Formsets are assigned dynamically based on various factors, including:

  • School or building

  • Grade level

  • Athletic participation

  • New enrollment status

It's important to note that not all students require the same forms.

If a Form Does Not Apply

If you find that a form does not apply to a student, please contact FinalForms Support to remove the form for the current or all school years.
