Welcome to our guide on how to seamlessly move a student's enrollment to the next academic year without altering the start and end dates on their enrollment record. This process is straightforward and ensures that all necessary information is retained while keeping everything organized for the upcoming school year.

Steps to Move Student Enrollment

Follow these simple steps to update the student's enrollment:

  1. Go to Manage > Students. Switch to Enrollment Mode.

  2. Find the student in Enrollment Mode and click Edit.

  3. Scroll to Enrollment Records and click Edit Record on the applicant's enrollment record.

  4. Edit only the District Entry Date to the first day of the 2026-27 school year.

  5. Do not change:

    • District Exit Date

    • Enrollment record Start Date or End Date

  6. Stay on the Student Edit page and switch to 2026-27 Preview Mode using the Calendar icon.

  7. Verify the student's grade; update if needed. The graduation year will auto-update when the grade is changed.

  8. Click Update Student to save your changes.

Expected Results

After completing these steps, you can expect the following outcomes:

  • The student will show as Future in the 2025-26 school year.

  • The student will show as an Applicant in the 2026-27 school year.

Important Note

When an enrollment year is updated, parents or guardians need to re-sign the formset for the correct school year. While all entered data remains intact, signatures are legally cleared and must be redone to ensure compliance.
